Act I "A Dolls House"

In the begging of the story i believed it would be about a silly dolls house. But, it is much more than what i see. Nora the wife of Helmer is known as a scatterbrain. So, far she seems to be a lot smarter than her husband, who is a naive idiot. There relationship is the worst she is treated as a "blonde". It would be so much better if she was on equal terms with her husband.

As, for the Nurse she has personal problems. Who’d give up their child to take care of someone else’s child? You don't see nor read twisted things like this book. The current problem is with Krogstad, man that’s such an idiotic man. Nora is at fault to she’d forged her already deceased fathers signature? Well I’m looking forward to reading more of this.

  1. I couldnt agree with more. nora is at fault for her own actions but considering that her husband treats her like a child it is no wonder that she makes those kinds of choices

  2. ANgel I agree with the nurse part. Why would she give up her own blood and flesh for someone else's child. I think the parents went out clubbing or partying or something to just leave their baby with the Nurse. No wonder Nora is such a "blonde" !

  3. I dont agree. I think Nora is smarter than she looks. Just look at what she has accomplished so far just to save her husband's life. Yeah, she might have forged her father's signature, but that was before he died ! How was she to know that he would have died before the date she put. Nora is an extremely intense and deep character, and I think I need to read more in order to make a proper character analyzation.

  4. I don't think the Nurse is dumb, I think she's really selfless. She gave up her own child to make soemone else's life better. Like, she took care of Nora and all, when she could have been doing that to her own baby and that's really selfless and nice.

  5. The nurse in my opinion is like anyone else trying to find a better life for her children. The nurse is a hard worker who did not leave her children for someone else's children.

  6. Nora is not blond. She knowes exactly what she is doing, and she knows that by acting like a child she can get more iof what she wants.

  7. I agree. Nora is indeed smart and thoughtful. Going through all this work, making sacrafices, and keeping it a secret for her husband shows how caring she is. I disagree on the signature part though because she didnt want any problems with her father who was sick.

  8. Nora is smarter than Torvald. She is more sneaky, and hidden about her personal things. The poor maid had to leave her child and takes care of Nora's childen instead, so I'm guessing Nora is thinking that her kids wouldn't recognize her if she distances herself from them. Krogstad is coniving and mean, so I agree with you on that too.
